Right on the border of Umbria and Tuscany – while Pomelato itself is in Umbria, the nearest town is Chiusi, which is in Tuscany.

Pomelato is 4km east of Chiusi, 40km west of Perugia and roughly halfway between Rome and Florence.

The house is located just 10 km from the A1 Florence-Rome motorway.

A car is essential while staying at Pomelato and all the local airports have the usual car hire facilities.

Journey time from Rome Ciampino airport (Ryanair, Easyjet) is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

There are also flights in and out of Perugia three times a week. Journey time from Perugia is approximately an hour.

It is also possible to fly to Rome Fiumicino (BA), from where the journey time is very similar, or to Pisa, Bologna or Florence (but there are relatively few flights to Florence).

There is a mainline rail station in Chiusi (useful if you want to visit Florence during your stay and prefer to go by train).
